Battle Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophie Humphrey led the charge by scoring five points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sami Wemhoff, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Battle Creek, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.
