Volleyball Recap: Ironwood Ridge Comes Up Short

Ironwood Ridge was the 3-2 winner over Mica Mountain when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Nighthawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunderbolts on Friday. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Osman Abdelghauom and Ian Dahl, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Corbin Crosby and his eight assists. Ali Abdelghauom controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ironwood Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Mica Mountain, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

Ironwood Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Mountain View on the 11th. As for Mica Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Boulder Creek on the 11th.
