Baseball Recap: Seven Straight Road Wins for Grandview

Grandview came out on top against Mullen on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Wolves walked away with a 7-2 win over the Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Justin Dean spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chase Chapman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Grandview pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.4 runs. As for Mullen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
