The Holdrege Dusters will square off against the Ord Chanticleers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holdrege knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Ord likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Holdrege was fully in charge, breezing past Hershey 92-38. The Dusters have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Garret Johnson was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double with 28 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. His big performance that evening made it 22 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Baron Medina, who en route to 25 points and eight boards.
Holdrege smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Ord waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians, sneaking past 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chanticleers have posted since January 23, 2024.
Ord's win came from a few key players Holdrege will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Garret Severance, who on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high. Jordan Williams was another key player, to rack up 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals.
Holdrege has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.1 points over those games. Ord's victory bumped their record up to 11-13.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's contest: Holdrege has been dynamite from deep this season, having drained 38.2% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Ord, though, as they've only made 28.2% of their three-pointers this season. Given Holdrege's sizable advantage in that area, Ord will need to find a way to close that gap.
