Game recap: Highland High School Football Team takes down Mountain Ridge

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Mountain Ridge (Glendale, Ariz.) lost to Highland (Gilbert, Ariz.), 15-7.

After taking the lead on a Blake Young touchdown pass to Colin Gardner in the second quarter, the Hawks led 8-7 at the half.

Mountain Ridge's only touchdown came on a 10-yard run by Logan Knott in the second quarter.

The win was a nice bounce back for Highland, which lost to Mountain View last week, 41-28. The loss was the third in a row for the Mountain Lions.

Mountain Ridge (1-3) will play a non-conference game against Perry next week, while Highland (2-2) will take on Campo Verde also in a non-conference game.
