Football Recap: Savannah Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Savannah fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Portal on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 21-14 to the Panthers. The Bluejackets were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

The critical scores for Portal came from Zeke Percell, Brian McQueen, and Gideon Fulcher.

Savannah's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Portal, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Savannah and Portal will both be playing Emanuel County Institute the next time they take the field. The Bluejackets will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
