Basketball Recap: Joppa-Maple Grove Falls Despite Big Games from Jaylea Anderson and Abigail Lang

Joppa-Maple Grove came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Century Centurions, falling 54-33. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Centurions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-27 back in January.

Joppa-Maple Grove's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Abigail Lang, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, and Jaylea Anderson, who scored six points and five boards. Joppa-Maple Grove's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Century, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.
