Harbor Creek and General McLane are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Huskies will be playing at home against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Monday just wasn't the day for Harbor Creek's offense. They fell just short of McDowell by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but General McLane ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Cathedral Prep 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Lancers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Jackson Kiser made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Kiser wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Swanson, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Harbor Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for General McLane, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
