KENOSHA, Wis. - After three lead changes,
Westfield Area (Westfield, Wis.) took the lead for good when
Alex Slowey ran for a touchdown with 11:00 remaining in the third quarter and held on to beat
St. Joseph (Kenosha, Wis.) 41-21 on Saturday.
The score was knotted at 21 heading into the half. The Pioneers took the lead indefinitely on an Slowey touchdown run in the third quarter.
Slowey and
Tanner Akers ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Lancers. Slowey scored three touchdowns on the ground and Akers added two as well.
St. Joseph came in giving up 17.9 points per game this season. SJ struggled against Westfield Area's offense, which entered the game scoring 35.4 points per game.
The win brought Westfield Area's winning streak to four games.
