Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 53-27 to the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats. The Bees just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Bloomfield still got an impressive performance from Keldon Loecker, who posted four points.

Brayden Lammers had an outrageously good game for Hartington-Newcastle as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points gave Lammers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Rosener, who earned six points and seven rebounds.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hartington-Newcastle, they moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Bloomfield will challenge Walthill at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hartington-Newcastle, they will head out to take on Elkhorn Valley at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Elkhorn Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Hartington-Newcastle likes a good challenge.
