It was a good run, but Broken Bow unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Vikings. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Broken Bow's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Northwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broken Bow will venture away from home to take on McCook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ogallala at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ogallala is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.
