Baseball Recap: Ozark Takes a Loss

Ozark's last matchup with Webb City could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Tigers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 7-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost eight in a row.

Ozark saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quentin Combs, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Ozark's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Webb City, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ozark will challenge Nixa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Webb City, they will square off against Neosho at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
