Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East). They walked away with a 77-70 victory over the Rock Springs TIGERS on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Thunderbirds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rock Springs lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Arrington Purvis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Boston James was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.

East pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Rock Springs, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East will challenge Sheridan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rock Springs, they will take on Evanston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Evanston likes a good challenge.
