Baseball Recap: Hidden Valley Comes Up Short

If Hidden Valley was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Glenvar last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hidden Valley Titans fell just short of the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Zachary Slough made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Ryan Walding was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Hidden Valley dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lord Botetourt, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Hidden Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on William Byrd at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Lord Botetourt, they will face off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
