Baseball Recap: Webutuck Comes Up Short

Webutuck extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-8. They fell 5-2 to the Rhinebeck Hawks. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2024, but that streak is no more.

As for Rhinebeck, they now have a winning record of 6-5. Five seems to be a good number for them as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Rhinebeck's part, John Haight was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The Hawks are undefeated when Haight posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise.

Coincidentally, Webutuck and Rhinebeck will both be playing Ellenville the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Blue Devils at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hawks will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
