St. Mary extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Gage Hedstrom. The Cardinals really took it to the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-12 win thanks in part to Hedstrom, who rushed for 227 yards and five TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 109 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

St. Mary's didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. James Eby led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Ben Barlow got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Neligh-Oakdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.
