Baseball Recap: Ontario Comes Up Short

Ontario was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Baker/Powder Valley Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Ontario's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Baker/Powder Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ontario will welcome Pendleton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Buckaroos have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups. As for Baker/Powder Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Grande at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
