Softball Recap: Fenton Tigers vs. Holly Bronchos

Fenton stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Holly Bronchos as the Fenton Tigers made off with an 11-3 win. The victory was familiar territory for Fenton who now have three in a row.

Lillian Tillier made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Tillier has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Tillier was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Sophie Collins was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lily Turkowski, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.

Fenton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Holly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Fenton will stay at home for another game and welcome Flushing at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holly, they will head out on the road to take on Swartz Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
