Baseball Game Preview: Colmesneil Bulldogs vs. Timpson Bears

The Colmesneil Bulldogs will square off against the Timpson Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Colmesneil blew Latexo out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Latexo got their revenge. Colmesneil fell just short of Latexo by a score of 4-2.

Logan Fasske was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Landyn Evans, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Colmesneil always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Timpson is still undefeated this season after their match against Lovelady last Thursday, but Lovelady came as close as anyone has to beating them. Timpson came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Lovelady. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since March 7, 2024.

Colmesneil's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Timpson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Colmesneil took their win against Timpson in their previous matchup back in March of 2017 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Colmesneil repeat their success, or does Timpson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
