Richmond is a perfect 5-0 against Carrabec since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bobcats will face off against the Cobras at 1:00 p.m. Richmond will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Richmond came out on top against Buckfield on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Bobcats never let the Bucks get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Bobcats have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Brady Alexander made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Cale Harrington was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Cody Fournier also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Richmond hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Buckfield struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Carrabec, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against Rangeley Lakes on Thursday as they made off with a 17-3 win.
Like Richmond, Carrabec also got a great game from a two-way player: Zack Davis. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Davis was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Logan Caldwell and Colton Scheve did most of the damage at the plate: Caldwell went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and three doubles, while Scheve went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Caldwell continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lane Frost, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Richmond's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Carrabec, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.
Everything went Richmond's way against Carrabec when the teams last played on Friday, as Richmond made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
