Soccer Game Preview: American Heritage vs. West Boca Raton

The American Heritage Patriots will challenge the West Boca Raton Bulls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

American Heritage is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Stoneman Douglas, who was ranked 12th at the time (American Heritage was ranked second). American Heritage never let Stoneman Douglas onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The Patriots wouldn't have won without Juliana Soto, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, West Boca Raton lost 5-1 to King's Academy on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Bulls were already down 3-0.

American Heritage pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for West Boca Raton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
