Softball Game Preview: Fargo Davies Eagles vs. Valley City Hi-Liners

The Fargo Davies Eagles will square off against the Valley City Hi-Liners at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Valley City will be up against a hot Fargo Davies squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Eagles put the hurt on Fargo South with a sharp 12-1 win on Friday. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Meanwhile, Valley City never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Fargo South as they made off with a 13-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hi-Liners needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The team relied heavily on Bailey Leroux, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn Hartsell, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win got Valley City back to even at 2-2. As for Fargo Davies, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
