Football Recap: Sierra Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sierra extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were beaten by the Pueblo East Eagles 62-6. If the Stallions were looking for revenge after losing 56-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Sierra lost, don't look at Patrick Robinson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Robinson showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.

As for Pueblo East, the victory got them back to even at 3-3. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pueblo East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dion Allsworth, who threw for 175 yards and three TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing, and also punched in one rushing score. Those 175 passing yards gave Allsworth a new career-high. Xavian Khamphavong was in the mix as well, providing Pueblo East with two scores.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sierra will head out to challenge Pueblo County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stallions will need to watch out since the Hornets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Pueblo East, they will venture away from home to face off against Pueblo Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
