Volleyball Recap: Sreekar Sunkara Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Westerville North

Olentangy Liberty won the last time they faced Westerville North and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Patriots came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 22-25, 25-18.

Olentangy Liberty's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sreekar Sunkara, who had 18 assists and three digs. Sunkara is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 18 or more in each of the last three games he's played. Vihaan Soni was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Olentangy Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why Westerville North lost, don't look at Calum Mason. Despite the final result, he had 15 digs and five assists.

Olentangy Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Westerville North, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Olentangy Liberty will challenge Dublin Coffman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westerville North, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Hayes on the 3rd.
