Volleyball Recap: Ellah Smith Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Point Pleasant

St. Albans won the last time they faced Point Pleasant and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Dragons walked away with a 2-0 win over the Big Blacks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Dragons.

St. Albans easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18.

St. Albans' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ellah Smith led the charge by getting five kills, four digs, and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Smith a new career-high.

St. Albans' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Point Pleasant, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

St. Albans wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Huntington on the 26th. As for Point Pleasant, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Scott on the 26th.
