Baseball Game Preview: Madison County Tigers vs. New Hope Indians

The Madison County Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the New Hope Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison County will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Madison County barely beat Ardmore the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Madison County was the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Ardmore on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Madison County, who have now won 11 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, New Hope entered their tilt with Sipsey Valley on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Bears.

Madison County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for New Hope, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

Madison County took their victory against New Hope when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
