Softball Recap: Alliance Takes a Loss

Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Minerva Lions. The Aviators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Minerva, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-14 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alliance will head out to square off against Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Minerva, they will venture away from home to face off against Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Saints will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
