Baseball Recap: Greencastle-Antrim Gets the Win

Greencastle-Antrim came out on top against Boiling Springs on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Bubblers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 on April 1st.

Cam Niland looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Elvin Robles was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Greencastle-Antrim: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Rakaczewski, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Greencastle-Antrim's record is now 7-5. As for Boiling Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Greencastle-Antrim wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-7 loss against Chambersburg on the 25th. As for Boiling Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against West Perry on the 29th.
