Volleyball Recap: Port Washington Extends Winning Streak to Four

Port Washington waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Sheboygan South Redwings as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Pirates not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Port Washington was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Port Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emersyn Loose, who had 15 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Loose has posted over her last seven matches. Another player making a difference was Summer Wille, who had nine digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Port Washington was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in four consecutive contests.

Port Washington's victory bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Sheboygan South, they dropped their record down to 7-17 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Port Washington will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Thomas More at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Sheboygan South, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Little Chute on the 16th.
