Western Branch is 7-1 against Nansemond River since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bruins will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Nansemond River took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Western Branch, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Western Branch got the win against Oscar Smith by a conclusive 3-0. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Nansemond River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Grassfield.

While Nansemond River ultimately came up short, they really made Grassfield work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-24, 25-12.

Western Branch's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Nansemond River, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything went Western Branch's way against Nansemond River in their previous meeting back in August, as Western Branch made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
