Baseball Recap: River Forest Ingots vs. Gary West Side Cougars
In what's become a running theme this season, River Forest gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Gary West Side Cougars as the River Forest Ingots made off with a 14-2 win. The victory was nothing new for River Forest as they're now sitting on three straight.
Sebastian Collazo IV and Brandon Fergerson were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Collazo IV pitched an inning while giving up no earned run or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Meanwhile, Fergerson struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned run or hits (and not a single walk). At the plate, Collazo IV scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Fergerson scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Collazo IV has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
