Softball Recap: Hamlin Takes a Loss

Hamlin lost against Baird on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pied Pipers fell just short of the Bears by a score of 18-17. The Pied Pipers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zaya Montoya stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dariana Lee, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Hamlin's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Baird, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Hamlin nor Baird have any future games scheduled.
