Softball Recap: Yazoo City Comes Up Short

Yazoo City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 22-0 to the Yazoo County Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Yazoo City's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Yazoo County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Yazoo City and Yazoo County will both be playing Leake Central the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
