Basketball Recap: Abilene Comes Up Short

Abilene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 53-37 bruising from the Concordia Panthers. The Cowboys were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 49-45.

Abilene's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Concordia, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.

Coming up, Abilene won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chapman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abilene is facing Chapman at the right time seeing as Chapman is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Concordia, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Clay Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
