Football Recap: Albertville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Albertville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They lost 31-10 to the Boaz Pirates. The Aggies lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-7 score last time.

As for Boaz, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points over those games.

Sage Bennett was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 122 receiving yards and two scores.

Albertville and Boaz will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Aggies will face off against rival Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Boaz is set to challenge their familiar foe Scottsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
