The South Stokes Sauras will venture away from home to challenge the East Wilkes Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. South Stokes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

South Stokes is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Starmount.

Bailee Coffill and Payton Barbee scored both of South Stokes' goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, East Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 4-2 to West Iredell. That's two games in a row now that East Wilkes have lost by exactly two goals.

East Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for South Stokes, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1.

South Stokes took their win against East Wilkes in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sauras since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
