Recap: Hug Hawks vs. North Tahoe Lakers
This season hasn't been kind to the Hug Hawks, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were dealt a 48-16 loss at the hands of North Tahoe on Saturday. Hug was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Tahoe apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.
Hug's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taniah Henderson, who scored 7 points.
North Tahoe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alana Hendricks out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hendricks has scored at least 25% of North Tahoe's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Virginia Gibeaut, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds.
Hug's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for North Tahoe, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Hug will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Churchill County at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for North Tahoe, they will head out on the road to face off against Truckee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
