Basketball Recap: Winona Comes Up Short

Winona lost against Humphreys County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Winona Tigers fell 56-45 to the Humphreys County Cowboys.

Humphreys County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dexter Williams, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Scotty Bronson, who put up 13 points.

Winona dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Humphreys County, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Winona Tigers duke it out with the West Lowndes Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Humphreys County, they will head out to face off against Edwards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Edwards' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
