Soccer Game Preview: Chula Vista vs. Castle Park

The Chula Vista Spartans will take on the Castle Park Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chula Vista's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Chula Vista fell victim to Mater Dei Catholic and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 648th, while the Crusaders are ranked 77th).

Meanwhile, Castle Park didn't have quite enough to beat Otay Ranch on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chula Vista's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-4. As for Castle Park, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-7-4.

Chula Vista skirted past Castle Park 2-1 in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Does Chula Vista have another victory up their sleeve, or will Castle Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
