Football Recap: Cherokee Bluff Bears vs. North Hall Trojans

After flying high against Apalachee last Friday, Cherokee Bluff came back down to earth. The Bears fell 43-31 to the North Hall Trojans on Friday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malcolm Millsap, who picked up 91 receiving yards and one TD. Dylan Haley also helped out with an impressive 95 receiving yards.

North Hall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Kemp led the charge by picking up 177 receiving yards and three scores. Kemp showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 66 yards. Alex Schlieman was another key player, throwing for 285 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cherokee Bluff fell to 2-1. As for North Hall, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Cherokee Bluff will be playing in front of their home fans against Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Hall, they will head out to take on East Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
