Baseball Recap: Mascoma Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Mascoma finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Fall Mountain Wildcats, falling 8-1. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Mascoma's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fall Mountain, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mascoma is set to face off against their familiar foe Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fall Mountain will square off against rival Hopkinton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
