Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-5 to the Lauderdale County Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Lexington saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Eddy, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another was Peyton Clanton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-20. As for Lauderdale County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-15 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lexington will take on Brooks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lauderdale County, they will face off against Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
