Baseball Recap: Loogootee Takes a Loss

Loogootee extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 5-16. They came up short against the Bedford North Lawrence Stars, falling 11-2. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Stars from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Emmett Graber was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Bedford North Lawrence, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

On Bedford North Lawrence's side, Chase Rynders spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Cam Gates was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Grady Dalton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Loogootee has already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Vincennes Rivet on the 27th. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 win against Silver Creek on the 27th.
