Basketball Recap: Riverton Gets the Win

Riverton's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 win over the Worland Warriors. With that victory, the Wolverines brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Riverton had a senior duo take command as Garrett Jackson dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Beau Anderson posted 12 points and six boards. Those 11 boards set a new season-high mark for Jackson. Another player making a difference was Gage Treber, who had seven points.

Riverton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Worland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Riverton will take on Mountain View in a holiday battle at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday. As for Worland, they will be taking part in a tournament against Evanston at 2:40 p.m. on Thursday.
