Volleyball Recap: Ponchatoula Takes a Loss

Ponchatoula lost against Mandeville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Green Wave lost 3-0 to the Skippers. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-14.

Mandeville found their leader in sophomore Julia Marengo, who had five digs and three aces.

Ponchatoula's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Mandeville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ponchatoula is set to face off against their familiar foe Slidell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mandeville will square off against rival Northshore at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
