Basketball Recap: Ada Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Ada and Purcell squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ada had to settle for second. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Purcell Dragons.

Ada's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sania Richardson, who en route to 31 points, and Ava Campos, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Richardson's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 22 points. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Woods, who posted a point and 11 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Ada smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Ada's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Purcell, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-9.

As of now, neither Ada nor Purcell have any future games scheduled.
