Football Game Preview: Mountainair vs. Magdalena

Magdalena may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will challenge Mountainair on the road at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Magdalena will really need to gear up for this challenge, as Mountainair will be their toughest opponent yet.

Magdalena put themselves on the board against Ramah last Friday, but Ramah never followed suit. Magdalena took the game and then some with a 52-0 win over Ramah. The success made it back-to-back wins for Magdalena.

Meanwhile, Mountainair faced Melrose in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mountainair put a hurting on Melrose to the tune of 56-16. Mountainair were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Their wins bumped Mountainair to 4-1 and Magdalena to 3-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Magdalena and Mountainair will really light up the scoreboard.
