Softball Game Preview: Centennial Apaches vs. Compton Early College Rising Phoenix

The Centennial Apaches will challenge the Compton Early College Rising Phoenix at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, Compton Early College got the win against Dominguez on Wednesday by a conclusive 21-6. The result was nothing new for the Rising Phoenix, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Compton Early College and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
