Volleyball Recap: Marley Mccandless and Talei Peterson Secure Win for Pleasant Grove

Pleasant Grove had won five straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 17-9 to make it six. Everything went their way against the Wasatch Wasps as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Leading Pleasant Grove to victory were Talei Peterson and Marley McCandless. Peterson had 15 assists and five digs, while McCandless had 12 assists and three digs. McCandless is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

As for Wasatch, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since September 30th.

Despite the loss, Wasatch saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydnee Mcphie had six digs and five aces.

Pleasant Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wasatch, they will take on Hillcrest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
