The LaBrae Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Springfield Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. LaBrae is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, LaBrae didn't have quite enough to beat Lakeview and fell 4-3.

LaBrae saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Glaser, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Easton Armstrong also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Springfield came up short against Mineral Ridge on Tuesday and fell 8-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for LaBrae, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

LaBrae suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Springfield in their previous matchup back in April of 2015. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
